Deuteronomy3chapter 3

• Deuteronomy 26 verses▾

  • Deuteronomy 2:24“Arise, set out, and cross the Arnon Valley. See, I have delivered into your hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land. Begin to take possession of it and engage him in battle.
  • Deuteronomy 2:33And the LORD our God delivered him over to us, and we defeated him and his sons and his whole army.
  • Deuteronomy 2:34At that time we captured all his cities and devoted to destruction the people of every city, including women and children. We left no survivors.
  • Deuteronomy 2:35We carried off for ourselves only the livestock and the plunder from the cities we captured.
  • Deuteronomy 2:36From Aroer on the rim of the Arnon Valley, along with the city in the valley, even as far as Gilead, not one city had walls too high for us. The LORD our God gave us all of them.
  • Deuteronomy 2:37But you did not go near the land of the Ammonites, or the land along the banks of the Jabbok River, or the cities of the hill country, or any place that the LORD our God had forbidden.

• Joshua 136 verses▾

  • Joshua 13:8The other half of Manasseh, along with the Reubenites and Gadites, had received the inheritance Moses had given them beyond the Jordan to the east, just as Moses the servant of the LORD had assigned to them:
  • Joshua 13:9The area from Aroer on the rim of the Arnon Valley, along with the city in the middle of the valley, the whole plateau of Medeba as far as Dibon,
  • Joshua 13:11also Gilead and the territory of the Geshurites and Maacathites, all of Mount Hermon, and all Bashan as far as Salecah—
  • Joshua 13:12the whole kingdom of Og in Bashan, who had reigned in Ashtaroth and Edrei and had remained as a remnant of the Rephaim. Moses had struck them down and dispossessed them,
  • Joshua 13:29This is what Moses had given to the clans of the half-tribe of Manasseh, that is, to half the tribe of the descendants of Manasseh:
  • Joshua 13:31half of Gilead; and Ashtaroth and Edrei, the royal cities of Og in Bashan. All this was for the clans of the descendants of Machir son of Manasseh, that is, half of the descendants of Machir.

• Numbers 325 verses▾

  • Numbers 32:20Moses replied, “If you will do this—if you will arm yourselves before the LORD for battle,
  • Numbers 32:32We will cross over into the land of Canaan armed before the LORD, that we may have our inheritance on this side of the Jordan.”
  • Numbers 32:33So Moses gave to the Gadites, to the Reubenites, and to the half-tribe of Manasseh son of Joseph the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan—the land including its cities and the territory surrounding them.
  • Numbers 32:39The descendants of Machir son of Manasseh went to Gilead, captured it, and drove out the Amorites who were there.
  • Numbers 32:41Jair, a descendant of Manasseh, went and captured their villages and called them Havvoth-jair.

• Deuteronomy 15 verses▾

  • Deuteronomy 1:4This was after he had defeated Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived in Heshbon, and then at Edrei had defeated Og king of Bashan, who lived in Ashtaroth.
  • Deuteronomy 1:28Where can we go? Our brothers have made our hearts melt, saying: ‘The people are larger and taller than we are; the cities are large, with walls up to the heavens. We even saw the descendants of the Anakim there.’”
  • Deuteronomy 1:30The LORD your God, who goes before you, will fight for you, just as you saw Him do for you in Egypt
  • Deuteronomy 1:37The LORD was also angry with me on your account, and He said, “Not even you shall enter the land.
  • Deuteronomy 1:38Joshua son of Nun, who stands before you, will enter it. Encourage him, for he will enable Israel to inherit the land.
