Jeshua son of Azaniah
on Nehemiah 10:9-13
The Levites follow the priests, headed by "Jeshua son of Azaniah," "Binnui of the sons of Henadad" and Kadmiel. These names reach back to the first return, where Jeshua and Kadmiel already lead the Levitical courses. The roll keeps the temple's two orders, priest and Levite, in their fixed order.

Hodiah, Bani, and Beninu
The Levitical seals close with seventeen names, from Jeshua in verse 9 to Beninu here. Bani stood twice among the Levites who cried out on the platform, and Hodiah joined the call to stand and bless the LORD at 9:5. The voices of chapter 9 sign in chapter 10.
