on Genesis 8:17-19
Be fruitful and multiply are the words spoken over the creatures on the fifth day at Genesis 1:22 and over man at 1:28. The book starts the world over in the language it used to start it. The blessing is handed to a family that watched the judgment fall.

Every creature came out kind by kind, and the Hebrew there reads by their families, the word later used for the clans of chapter 10. Ephrem the Syrian has them sent out two by two to be fruitful and multiply. The ark empties in order.
