in Ezekiel 44The best of all the firstfruits and of every contribution from all your offerings will belong to the priests. You are to give your first batch of dough to the priest, so that a blessing may rest upon your homes.

7 notes on this verse(Verse 29, 30) They themselves shall eat the victim for sin and for transgression (or for ignorance), and every vow (or separation) in Israel shall be theirs. And the firstborn of all the firstborns, and all the libations from all that are offered, shall be for the priests. And you shall give the firstfruits of your food to the priest, so that he may put a blessing on his house (or put blessings on your houses). For the victim and sacrifice, which in Hebrew is called Manaa (), Aquila and Symmachus interpreted as a gift.

on Ezekiel 44:28-31
The priests receive no land, for the Lord says, “I am their inheritance,” the principle fixed for Levi (Numbers 18:20, Deuteronomy 18:1-2). Their portion comes from the altar: the grain, sin and guilt offerings, everything devoted to the LORD, the firstfruits and the first batch of dough.

Matthew Henry reasons that God, who is first, must have the first, whether from the field or the dough on its way to the oven. Paul uses the same offering in Romans 11:16 to argue that holy firstfruits make the whole batch holy. The blessing rests on the giver's home.
