He drew me out of deep waters
on 2 Samuel 22:17-20
He “took hold of me” and “drew me out of deep waters”, the picture carried in Moses’ own name, drawn out. Keil and Delitzsch hear an echo of Israel’s rescue at the sea. The open place of verse 20 answers the tight danger of the verses before it.
