The weight of gold that came to Solomon each year

on 2 Chronicles 9:13-16

The yearly gold, “666 talents,” funds two hundred large shields and three hundred small shields kept in the House of the Forest of Lebanon. The shields do not stay Solomon's: 12:9 records Shishak taking “the gold shields that Solomon had made,” and Rehoboam makes bronze shields in their place.

Solomon kept the small shields in his House of the Forest of Lebanon, where verse 20 places vessels of pure gold as well. Each held half the gold of a large shield. Rehoboam kept their bronze replacements in a guardroom, which Jamieson, Fausset and Brown describe at 12:10.
