The sons of Izhar
on 1 Chronicles 23:18-23
One line breaks the pattern: “Eleazar died without having any sons”, and “Their cousins, the sons of Kish, married them”. The law in Numbers 27 and 36 makes the same provision for Zelophehad's daughters, so a family's inheritance stays inside its tribe. The detail keeps a line in the record.

The sons of Uzziel
Uzziel's house has two heads, Micah and Isshiah. Both names return in 1 Chronicles 24:24 and 24:25, where Micah's son Shamir and Isshiah's son Zechariah are added. Matthew Henry, on that later list, says Ezra's publishing of it guided worship after the return from captivity.
