Three conditions are named here only to be cleared. A freckled spot is clean, a bald head is clean, a bald forehead is clean, and the chapter says yet is he clean twice in two verses. Across the whole chapter the priest pronounces clean eight times and unclean eleven, so this is a procedure for clearing people about as often as for excluding them.
