There being none to make them afraid, all their enemies being destroyed, and they also under the protection of Christian princes: and they shall build houses and plant vineyards; signifying their continuance in their land, and their enjoyment of the blessings of it.

on Ezekiel 28:25-26

The chapter closes on the promise kept to named Israel, they shall dwell in their land that I have given to my servant Jacob. Fairbairn ties the promise directly to the Tyre and Zidon oracles just given, the same God who humbles the proud cities restores the humbled people.

Jeremiah 29 told the exiles to build houses and plant gardens in Babylon, a foreign land. Here the same work is done at home. The word securely appears twice, and chapter 34 uses it for the flock kept safe under God's own shepherd.
