on Ezekiel 25:6-7

The Lord restates the charge in bodily terms, clapped thine hands, and stamped with the feet. Keil reads the repetition as deliberate, the second oracle beat driving home that Ammon's crime was performed before whatever audience was watching. The sentence widens from Rabbah made a stable to national extinction.

He must threaten the Ammonites with utter ruin for this insolence which they were guilty of. God turns away his wrath from Israel against them, as is said, Prov. xxiv. God is jealous for his people's honour, because his own is so nearly interested in it.
