Why have you not repaired the damage
on 2 Kings 12:7-8
The king who has reigned under Jehoiada's tutelage corrects him, asking why the damage to the temple remains. The rebuke names its own remedy: “take no more money from your constituency, but hand it over for the repair of the temple”. The priests consent, an office surrendered without a defense.
