Then "the guard of the East Gate" takes his stretch, and "the goldsmiths and merchants" carry the wall back to the Sheep Gate. The loop closes and the map is complete. Guilds and priesthood share one wall, and the last crew named are tradesmen finishing what the high priest started.

The Inspection Gate renders the Hebrew Miphkad, which Gill links either with a house of correction or with a seat where causes were tried. Temple servants and merchants had a house near it. Gill also allows that Malchijah was the son of a man named Tzoreph, called after his trade.
