on Nehemiah 3:16-27
The roll passes David's tombs and a guard-house in one clause. Through this stretch men repair opposite their own houses, the Levites, priests and temple servants each by their dwelling. The Tekoites appear a second time at verse 27, the commoners doubling the portion their nobles refused.

Older versions call this ruler of Keilah Bavai, and Barnes identifies him with the Binnui of verse 24 and of the covenant list at 10:9. Their countrymen are the Levites of verse 17. The sons of Henadad already stand among the Levites in Ezra 3:9.
