Commentary on the Whole Bible (1710)

By this the intention of the offering and of the atonement made by it was directed to the glory of God, who, having been dishonoured by the sin, was thus honoured by the sacrifice. It signified the sharp sufferings of our Lord Jesus, when he was made sin (that is, a sin-offering) for us, especially the sorrows of his soul and his inward agonies.

This site's exposition

he shall remove all the fat from the bull of the sin offering

on Leviticus 4:8-10

The fat over the entrails, both kidneys and the lobe of the liver go up, the portions Leviticus 3:3-4 names in the peace offering. The parts that go up to God from a sin offering and from the offering a worshipper eats from are the same.

This site's exposition

both kidneys with the fat on them near the loins

The list of portions continues from verse 8 in the order and wording of Leviticus 3:4. The kidneys, the fat near the loins and the lobe of the liver follow, and verse 10 completes the sentence.
