(Verse 23, 24.) Thus says the Lord: Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, and let not the strong man boast in his strength, and let not the rich man boast in his riches. But let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord." All of humanity's pride is removed, as their wisdom, strength, and wealth are considered as nothing.

But let him that glorieth - To glory in a thing is to depend on it as the means or cause of procuring happiness. Sometimes the ancient heathen poets uttered sentiments of morality far beyond their dispensation.
