His beautiful ornaments
on Ezekiel 7:20-22
The charge narrows to the temple’s treasures. So the Lord says, “I will turn My face away from them, and they will defile My treasured place.” Keil sets this beside chapters 8 to 11, where the glory’s departure is shown in vision.

The beautiful ornaments of verse 20, which the people made into idols, will be handed over as plunder. The wicked of the earth will defile them. Jerome notes that the Greek version calls these men the pestilent of the earth.
