on Exodus 36:20-26
The frames stand in silver bases, forty on the south and forty on the north. Exodus 38:27 says the silver was a hundred talents of atonement money, a talent to a base. So the frame of the dwelling stands on ransom money.

The forty bases carry out 26:19 to the number. Each tenon had its own base, so every frame rested on two. Exodus 40:18 has Moses lay the bases first when he raised the tabernacle, then the frames and the crossbars.
