The worst that can be said of the labourers in God's vineyards is that they have borne the burden and heat of the day ( Matt. xx. 12 ); but those that are eager in their worldly pursuits labour in the very fire, make themselves perfect slaves to their lusts. There is not a greater drudge in the world than he that is under the power of reigning covetousness.
