Jehoiachin was eighteen years old
on 2 Kings 24:8-9
Jehoiachin "was eighteen years old when he became king", where 2 Chronicles 36:9 gives his age as eight. Gill and Clarke reconcile the numbers by supposing a co-regency with his father. In verse 9 "he did evil in the sight of the LORD, just as his father had done".

Jamieson, Fausset and Brown read Ezekiel 19:5-7 as the portrait of this king, the second young lion in that lament over the princes of Judah. Matthew Henry describes a curse that passed down with the crown. He reigned three months and did evil in that time.

he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord--Untaught by experience, and deaf to the prophetic warnings, he pursued the evil courses which had brought so many disasters upon the royal family as well as the people of Judah. This bad character is figuratively but strongly depicted (Eze 19:5-7).
