who drove out the inhabitants of Gath
on 1 Chronicles 8:13-27
Beriah and Shema were the heads of families of the inhabitants of Aijalon, and they drove out the inhabitants of Gath. Gill links this to the killing of Ephraim's sons by the natives of Gath in 1 Chronicles 7:21. The roll runs through the sons of Elpaal, Shimei and Shashak.

Abdon, Zichri, Hanan
Abdon shares his name with the judge from Pirathon in Ephraim (Judges 12:13 to 15) and with the firstborn of Jeiel in verse 30. Zichri appears three times in the chapter, in verses 19, 23 and 27. These families reused a small store of names.
