who drove out the inhabitants of Gath

on 1 Chronicles 8:13-27

Beriah and Shema were the heads of families of the inhabitants of Aijalon, and they drove out the inhabitants of Gath. Gill links this to the killing of Ephraim's sons by the natives of Gath in 1 Chronicles 7:21. The roll runs through the sons of Elpaal, Shimei and Shashak.

Jakim, Zichri, Zabdi

These names begin the sons of Shimei, which run to verse 21. Nine sons are named. The list gives no count of fighting men, unlike the musters of chapter 7.
