In that day there will be one Lord, and his name will be one: and all the land will return to the desert from the hill of Remmon to the South of Jerusalem: and it will be exalted, and it will be inhabited in its place, from the Benjamin gate to the place of the former gate, to the corner gate: and from the Tower of Ananeel to the king's winepresses, and they will dwell in it, and there will no longer be a curse, but Jerusalem will sit securely.

The verse the whole night-vision book has been building toward: the Lord shall be king over all the earth, in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one. The bench hears the Shema's confession, the Lord is one, brought to its final and universal scope rather than Israel's alone. The timing of that reign, present in substance now or awaiting a future and visible enthronement, takes the readings named under the parking order and no verdict is stamped on the reader.

And the Lord shall be king over all the earth - Such should be the influence of the living water, that is, of the Spirit of God. God who has ever reigned and will reign, “a great King over all the earth” Psa 47:3, Psa 47:8, shall be owned by His creatures, as what He is.
