on Proverbs 28:18-19
"He who walks with integrity will be kept safe, but whoever is perverse in his ways will suddenly fall" states the chapter's contrast. One path is secure and the other collapses without warning. Verse 19 applies the principle, for "The one who works his land will have plenty of food."

The one who works his land
Verse 18 set the upright path against the perverse one, and this verse carries it into daily labor. Steady work on one's own land fills the table. Chasing fantasies fills a man with poverty instead.
