Leviticus 23:24 names this day but leaves its offerings unnamed, and Numbers supplies them. Verse 6 stacks three offerings on the one day: those given here, the monthly offering of Numbers 28:11-15, and the regular daily offering.

Jamieson, Fausset & Brown note that Numbers adds a sin offering to the feast first described at Leviticus 23:24. John Gill says such a goat made atonement for the sins of their holy things. A single goat appears on every feast day of this month.
