9 notes on this verse
Even a full wind from those places shall come unto me,.... That is, a strong one, very vehement; or, "a wind which is fuller than these", as the Syriac version renders it; which is stronger than those winds which are fit for fanning and winnowing the chaff from the wheat.

how completely You have deceived this people

on Jeremiah 4:10-12

Jeremiah cries that the LORD has deceived the people “by saying, ‘You will have peace,’ while a sword is at our throats”. The promise of peace was the word of prophets speaking in the LORD's name without warrant. 1 Kings 22 shows the LORD letting lying prophets speak.

This site's exposition

a wind too strong for that

The Syriac, as Gill reports, reads a wind stronger than any breeze fit to winnow grain. The wind comes from the LORD, and with it come judgments against Judah. Babylon meets a destroying wind of its own at Jeremiah 51:1.
