on 2 Chronicles 19:5-7
The king appoints judges “in each of the fortified cities of Judah”. His charge gives the ground: “you are not judging for man, but for the LORD, who is with you when you render judgment”. The reason follows, that with the LORD “there is no injustice or partiality or bribery”.

Jehoshaphat repeats his warning and sets the fear of the LORD over the judges. Bonaventure reads the verse as a call to ready obedience, one mark of that fear made complete. Augustine uses the same clause to say that God alone judges without error, since he cannot be deceived.
