So they sent for Jeroboam

on 2 Chronicles 10:3-5

The tribes state their grievance, “Your father put a heavy yoke on us,” naming forced labor and taxation that built the temple and the court. They offer service in return, “we will serve you”. Rehoboam asks for three days, and he spends them changing counselors.
