An heiress marrying into another tribe carries her land with her, a consequence chapter 27 never addressed. Verse 4 closes off the Jubilee as a remedy, since Leviticus 25:10-13 restores land that was sold, and inherited land belongs to the receiving tribe.

The jubilee of Leviticus 25:10-13 returns land that was sold to its first family. Matthew Henry thinks the fear was real, since men of other tribes were likely courting the heiresses to gain a footing in Manasseh. The jubilee would settle the loss.
