Sallu's followers Gabbai and Sallai bring the descendants of Benjamin to 928, nearly twice the 468 of Perez. Gill reads the larger share as a tribe more willing to live in the city, which stood in Benjamin's allotment at Joshua 18:28. The roll at 1 Chronicles 9:9 gives 956.
