This site's exposition
Noah was 600 years old
on Genesis 7:6-10
Noah's age is given as 600 years, and the year fixes the flood inside the genealogy of Genesis 5. The seven days pass, the animals come to Noah two by two, clean and unclean together, and the floodwaters come upon the earth. Peter calls Noah a preacher of righteousness at 2 Peter 2:5. No one else enters the ark.
The record, by era
The Medieval Church1 voice
Noah did everything the Lord had commanded him, and he was six hundred years old when the waters of the flood overflowed the earth. And Noah entered the ark, and his sons, his wife, and his sons' wives with him, and so on.
