The three sons of Benjamin
on 1 Chronicles 7:6-12
Benjamin's three clans, Bela, Becher, and Jediael, muster nearly sixty thousand mighty men. Barnes reads the list as later descendants reckoned to their founders at the time of David's census. The Shuppites and Huppites stand outside the three clans, and the older commentators disagree over which son they belong to.

Jediael is absent from the sons of Benjamin listed in Genesis 46:21 and from the clans of Numbers 26:38 to 39. Gill counts Bilhan and all his sons in verse 11 as Jediael's line. Chronicles alone preserves this house.
