Dodai The words “Eleazar, son of,” have probably fallen out before Dodai (or Dodo). According to Jewish tradition, EIeazar 1Ch 11:12 was cousin to David; his father, Dodai, being Jesse’s brother. Mikloth was probably second in command to Eleazar.

Benaiah is the man already known from the mighty men, and verse 6 says he “was mighty among the Thirty and was over the Thirty”. Asahel heads the fourth division, though he died by Abner's hand at the start of David's reign. The honor passes to his son Zebadiah.

Dodai the Ahohite led the division for the second month, with Mikloth as leader. Albert Barnes judges that the words Eleazar son of have dropped out before Dodai, making the commander the Eleazar of 1 Chronicles 11:12. He takes Mikloth as second in command.
