on Numbers 28:3-8
Verse 6 dates this offering to Mount Sinai, where Exodus 29:38-42 had commanded it, and tamid, the word rendered regular, governs the chapter as every feast is laid on it. Barnes notes that the "fermented drink" of verse 7 usually names drink other than wine, barley drink standing in for it in the desert. Paul applies the poured drink offering to himself at Philippians 2:17 and 2 Timothy 4:6.
