This feast has no date in any month, since Leviticus 23:15-16 places it by counting: "You shall count off fifty days". Acts 2:1 has the disciples together "When the day of Pentecost came".

Include one male goat
Each feast since the new moon carries one. John Gill says these goats were a different sort of offering, a sin offering of the kind that was eaten. Matthew Henry reports Bishop Patrick's reading that the sin offerings pictured Christ's sacrifice, which makes the worshippers and their service perfect.
