one’s offering is a burnt offering from the flock

on Leviticus 1:10-13

The rite runs again at a lower price. The one new detail is the place of slaughter, on the north side of the altar, which 4:24, 4:29, 4:33 and 7:2 point back to. Verse 13 closes in the words of verse 9, a pleasing aroma to the LORD.

The sheep or goat is cut up and laid on the fire in the same way as the bull of verses 6 and 8. Only the size of the animal has changed, and the head and the fat still go up on the burning wood.
