As for the overlap that remains of the tent curtains
on Exodus 26:12-14
The extra goat hair hangs down the back and the sides, and two more coverings go over it, “ram skins dyed red” and “fine leather”. A passerby saw only the plainest layer, and the gold and the cherubim were visible only from inside.
