Asa gathers Judah and Benjamin with settlers from Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon. The assembly meets in the third month of Asa's fifteenth year and offers “seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep” from the plunder. Barnes notes that seven is seldom prominent at Israel's larger sacrifices.
