The six sons born at Hebron repeat 2 Samuel 3:2 to 5 with one variant: the second son, Chileab in Samuel, is Daniel here. Verse 4 closes the Hebron count. David reigned seven years and six months in Hebron and thirty-three years in Jerusalem, forty years in all.
