The father watches and names plainly: “a young man lacking judgment,” “crossing the street near her corner, strolling down the road to her house”. No one forces him onto that road, so the chapter charges the walking itself, and the failing it names is a lack of judgment.

Proverbs 5:8 told the son to keep his path far from her and away from the door of her house. This young man strolls down the road to it. Her corner in this verse is where she lurks in verse 12.
