Even the house of the Lord - Or, according to another reading (Septuagint), which removes the superfluousness of these words - “The house was filled with a cloud of the glory of the Lord.”

Verse 13 adds to 1 Kings 8:10-11: the trumpeters and singers praised “with one voice,” and the house “was filled with a cloud”. Verse 14 uses the language of Exodus 40:34-35: the glory of the LORD fills the house, and the priests cannot stand to minister.

For he is good - This was either the whole of the song, or the burden of each verse. The Hebrew is very short: - כי טוב כי לעולם חסדו Ki tob ki leolam chasdo. For he is good; for his mercy is endless.
