The severest imprecatory psalm: 'Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise,' against lying mouths that reward evil for good, 'and hatred for my love.' The curses are total: days few, office taken by another (Acts 1:20 of Judas), children fatherless. 'As he loved cursing, so it came unto him.' The psalmist stands opposite: 'But deal thou with me, O Jehovah the Lord, for thy name's sake… I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.' 'He shall stand at the right hand of the needy, to save him from them that judge his soul.'
