Chapter summary

Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication let your requests be made known unto God. The peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Whatsoever things are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report — think on these things. I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Thanks for the Philippian gift. Henry reads the chapter as the contented life sketched.

Drafted from Matthew Henry, Calvin, Gill, Clarke, JFB, and Barnes.
