The temple and the building each come to a hundred cubits, whole numbers in place of the odd fractions a real building usually carries. Beveled windows, galleries in three levels, and walls overlaid with wood on all sides are recorded as an eyewitness would report them.

This verse opens a sentence that ends in verses 18 to 20 with carved cherubim and palm trees. The decoration is measured and evenly spaced, the same order the reed has laid on every wall. The carving reaches above the inner door.
