Biblical figure (High priest (Josiah's reign), 640/639-609 BC) identified in extra-biblical epigraphy.
Counterpoint: The seal names no office, and Azariah was one of the most common names in Judah. Tsvi Schneider's own publication of the bulla put a question mark in its title, 'Azariahu Son of Hilkiahu (High Priest?),' since tying this man to the priestly line of 1 Chronicles 6 rests on the name pair alone.
