Where 2 Samuel records the dedication of the gold and silver, Chronicles adds a detail that looks ahead to the temple. The bronze from “Tibhath and Cun, cities of Hadadezer” is the metal “with which Solomon made the bronze Sea, the pillars, and various bronze articles”.

Tou sends his son Hadoram to greet David and bless him. Hadadezer had been at war with Tou, so David's win served Tou as well. Jamieson, Fausset and Brown name Hadadezer as the hereditary title of Zobah's rulers, the enemy both kings shared.
