Chapter summary
Of the times and the seasons ye have no need that I write. The day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. Ye, brethren, are not in darkness — ye are all the children of light and of the day. Watch and be sober. Comfort yourselves together, and edify one another. Know them which labour among you. Warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak. Rejoice evermore; pray without ceasing; in every thing give thanks. Quench not the Spirit; despise not prophesyings. Prove all things. Wesley reads the closing as the compact catechism for a waiting church.
