Creation sung as a living household: light as a garment, the heavens stretched like a curtain, winds for messengers, flames of fire his ministers. Springs sent among the valleys; grass for the cattle, 'and wine that maketh glad the heart of man'; the cedars of Lebanon full of sap; the young lions seek their food from God. 'O Jehovah, how manifold are thy works! In wisdom hast thou made them all.' All wait upon thee; 'thou sendest forth thy Spirit, they are created; and thou renewest the face of the ground.' 'I will sing unto Jehovah as long as I live.'
