'All things come alike to all: there is one event to the righteous and to the wicked': this is the evil in all that is done under the sun. But a living dog is better than a dead lion, for the living know that they shall die. Therefore the fullest statement of the gift: eat thy bread with joy; let thy garments be always white; 'live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest… Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might.' Time and chance happen to them all. And one poor wise man delivered a city, yet no man remembered him: 'wisdom is better than strength,' though despised.
