Thanksgiving after the battle Psalm 20 prayed for. The king joys in Jehovah's strength: heart's desire given, a crown of fine gold set on his head, 'he asked life of thee, thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever.' His glory is great in Jehovah's salvation. The psalm turns to the king's enemies (fire shall swallow them) and closes: 'Be thou exalted, O Jehovah, in thy strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.'
