Two books of revelation in one psalm. The heavens declare the glory of God, day unto day uttereth speech, their line gone out through all the earth (quoted in Romans 10), the sun as a bridegroom rejoicing to run his course. Then the law of Jehovah: perfect, restoring the soul; sure, making wise the simple; more to be desired than gold, sweeter than honey. The close turns inward: cleanse me from hidden faults, keep back thy servant from presumptuous sins; 'let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight.'
